Den Den Town is the centre of Osaka's geek universe. Whether it's computer games, comic books or costumes, this area has it all. Every March, Den Den Town hosts the famous cosplay event, Nipponbashi Street Festa. Cosplayers turn out dressed as their favourite comic book characters, always ready to pose for a photo. The event is topped off with the Maid Parade, where the costumed staff from the local maid cafes parade through the street, accompanied by dozens of colourful mascots.
